chevron_rightCan I start my home improvement before I get an approval from the Architectural Review Committee (ARC)?
No, please wait until you get an approval from the Committee.
We don't want any homeowner to have the expense of removing or changing a new improvement because it does not meet these guidelines.
-
chevron_rightHow long does it take for the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) to approve my home improvement project?
The Architectural Review Committee has 30 days from the day they receive the request to approve or deny the home improvement.
You may receive notice from the Committee to provide additional information for review, please follow through on providing this information as quickly as possible, as we don't want to hold up the start of your project.
Please do not start any of the improvements until you have received an approval from the Committee.
The goal of the Committee is to make sure that any improvements made to our homes is in keeping with the Deeds and By-Laws of our community, and will not adversely effect the value of the homes and the community.

chevron_rightAm I able to use Fireworks in the Barker Lake Community
Although it is against our Deeds and Covenants to set off Fireworks in the Barker Lake Community, it is not illegal to set of fireworks in un-incorporated Harris County.
This unfortunately is a rule which we have to delegate to our Homeowners to be responsible and do the right thing.
Excessive "Noise Nuisances" after 10pm can be reported to the Police.
Please be safe and be courteous to your neighbors and their homes.

chevron_rightI am not able to see/access the links on the website
With the upgrade of Windows Explorer to IE10, many websites and unfortunately ours have elements and links which are not compatible with this new version. Our web service is currently working on a fix for this.
As the Web Master for this site, I am currently using Mozilla Firefox to access and update our website. This has resolved all the issues I have with our website, as well as other websites.
Here is a link to download the latest version of Mozilla Firefox for free. This link is from Yahoo who are moving away from IE10, and recommend Mozilla Firefox to view their websites.
