PARENTS...PLEASE HELP US!!!
All of our life guards want every resident and guest to have a safe and happy summer at our pool. These young people have a JOB TO DO! That job is to make sure no one gets hurt or something far worse. Please read THE RULES and REGISTRATION INFO! Please make sure you and your family and guest follow the rules. Our life guards have been told to make sure these rules are followed BY EVERYONE! Please lead by example for a terrific summer.In my conversations with our life guards, several things have been occurring with great frequency. First is "RUNNING"! They really need parents help in stressing the importance to their children NOT TO RUN around the pool!! Next is proper swimwear in the pool. BASKETBALL SHORTS & CUT OFF JEANS ARE NOT PROPER SWIMWEAR! COLORED KNIT SHIRTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE POOL EITHER. One last reminder to parents...if your child is wearing floaties, you
MUST BE IN THE WATER WITH THEM!
MYTH: Floaties keep little ones safe in the water.
FACT: Floaties are designed for fun, not safety. They give a false sense of security, can deflate and can slip off.
