
Barker Lake HOA Pool Rules
These rules and regulation, for the safe and sanitary operation of the pool,
are for your protection and benefit.
The pool is only open to Barker Lake residents with current pool tags and their guests.
No swimming is allowed unless the lifeguard is on duty. Anyone caught swimming after hours will be suspended for the remainder of the summer and have trespassing charges filed against him/her.
The pool may be closed or its use limited at any time because of weather, operational difficulties, or overcrowding at the discretion of the lifeguards. In case of lightning or thunder, Red Cross current standards will be used.
Lifeguards have the full authority to enforce the pool rules. For the safety and enjoyment of all, lifeguards have full authority to remove from the pool area anyone disobeying the rules or endangering the safety of himself or another person. The lifeguard has the authority to suspend offenders for one day. Repeat violations may result in revocation of swimming privileges for the remainder of the summer.
All children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times 18 years of age or older, to be admitted to the pool area. Any child between 10 and 12 years of age may enter the pool area unaccompanied by an adult if the child passes the swim test.
(Swim Test: Swim the entire length of the pool without stopping and tread water in the deep end for 2 minutes.)
Residents must sign in their guests and be responsible for them at all times. If the resident leaves, so must the guest.
Neither Barker Lake HOA, nor the pool mgmt. company is responsible for the loss or damage of any personal property.
Swimming with an open sore or a communicable disease is prohibited.
Proper swimming attire is must be worn. Cut-offs or colored T-shirts are not allowed in the pool.
All infants that are not potty-trained must wear swim diapers or plastic elastic pants. Disposable diapers are not allowed.
Running or rough play in or about the pool area will not be tolerated.
No diving in areas 6 feet deep or less, per Texas code.
Profanity, improper behavior, and intoxication are not allowed.
Alcohol and other drugs are prohibited.
Pets are not allowed in the pool area.
Smoking is not permitted in the pool area.
Glass containers are not allowed in the pool area.
Chewing gum or chewing tobacco is not allowed in the pool area.
The use of cocoa butter, baby oil, or other heavy suntan oils causes filter damage. Rinse it off before getting in the pool.
Lifeguards are employed to ensure the safety of the swimmers. Talking with the lifeguards on duty is prohibited.
Be alert to anyone in trouble. Call for help immediately!

Wading Pool Rules
Only non-swimming children (under the age of 6) may use the wading pool.
Parents or guardians (18 years or older) are responsible for their children in the wading pool at all times, NOT the lifeguards. Parents must stay within an arms reach of their child.
All pool rules apply to the wading pool.
